A website that looks great will probably receive a better response than one that looks not so great. Pictures can spice up a website. You can take the pictures yourself and have your designer convert them into a digital format that can be put into a web site. You may also want to consider hiring a professional photographer.
It’s also possible to purchase professional stock photos for inclusion in your site. These may have a generic sort of look to them, but the picture quality is usually very high. Prices for stock photos range from free to a few hundred dollars per image. The downside to stock photos is that other sites (and newspaper ads, billboards, etc.) may use the same exact photo you're already using.
