Sell your products with an online store.

Online StoreDon't risk losing sales to messy forms and complicated procedures. Relax when you have an online store that's easy for your customers to use, easy for you to administer, and maximizes your products' selling potential. View online store website samples.

Creating an online store is a potentially complicated undertaking involving shopping carts, security certificates, PCI compliance, merchant accounts, payment gateways, customer statistics and more.

When you choose Crunch42, you can rest assured that every step of the process will be explained to you in plain English. And every cost will be detailed beforehand.

There are three types of shopping cart that can be used with an online store:

  1. Hosted shopping cart
  2. Integrated shopping cart
  3. Custom-built shopping cart

Hosted Shopping Cart

With this store option the way it works for the customer is that you just have a regular web page with items that can be purchased, and each of the items has a "Buy Now" or "Add To Cart" button next to it. When the button is clicked, the customer is transferred to a third party website, such as PayPal where the payment process is completed. (If you have a regular merchant account but not an internet merchant account, you may opt to use Mal's E-Commerce instead of or in addition to PayPal.)

Benefits of this type of store are that it's very cheap to set up (typically a third to half the cost of the other two types of shopping cart), you don't need an internet merchant account, and if you know basic HTML you can probably add new items to your catalog yourself relatively easily.

Downsides are that the shopping cart and payment process takes place on a different website than yours, and will look somewhat different from your own website, so it may make your website look a little less professional. And if you don't know HTML, then you will need a web designer to add or edit items. Also, the items will probably not be searchable, nor will you be able to have advanced shopping cart features such as coupons, gift certificates, tell-a-friend, wishlist, reviews, and such.

This type of store is best if you have less than 100 items for sale, though you could conceivably use it for stores with more items.

Integrated Shopping Cart

With this online store option you get a robust ecommerce solution that is chock full of features for you and your customers. If you've seen it in another online store, it probably comes with this cart.

Custom-Built Shopping Cart

If for some reason your project can't utilize an existing third party shopping cart, one can be custom-built exactly to your needs. This is often more expensive than going with a pre-built cart (the previous option), but is sometimes necessary if your needs are very specialized.

When Crunch42 designs your online store, you can rest assured that the result will be professional, straightforward, and easy to use -- both by you and by your customers.

All work is quality control checked on all major browsers on both Windows and Mac and is protected by a 90 day 100% money-back guarantee. And if there are ever any problems with the site, help is just an email away. Whether you need a new website or a redesign, Crunch42 is a great choice.
